アースデー! “Lorax”

アースデー! “Lorax”

Earth Day will not be complete without mentioning two most, perhaps influential songs of the modern time. Songs that remind everyone the beauty bestowed upon us by Mother Earth. The beauty of nature that will be lost forever as mankind exploit land, hills, the sea, jungle and air space. Recreating the nature or restoring them will draw results next to zero.

“I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.” – Louis Armstrong, What a wonderful world.

“What have we done to the world
Look what we’ve done
What about all the peace
That you pledge your only son

What about flowering fields
Is there a time
What about all the dreams
That you said was yours and mine

Did you ever stop to notice
All the children dead from war
Did you ever stop to notice
This crying earth, these weeping shores” – Michael Jackson, Earth Song

Reminded me of LORAX too! See my earlier posting on “Lorax” See Lorax here

Happy Earth Day!
