Big Plate: Thực phẩm Trời Việt Nam (Food Heaven, Vietnam) -1 Vietnamese

This post, Big Plate brings you to an ASEAN neighbour, Vietnam. With our appetite wet in Ho Chi Minh City, we managed to visit four of the five eatery outlets that we have planned. Here they are in sequence of our tongue senses.

1. Nha Hang Ngon Restaurant location :160 Pasteur St, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

This place serves Vietnamese food and its very easy accessible by taxi (for trusted taxi always use VINASUN taxis).

This was my first experience with real Vietnamese food and with my trusted guide and wife, we managed to sample some good wholesome meal after our flight in from Kuala Lumpur. This restaurant, Nha Hang Ngon is packed with mostly foreigners but we can find locals too, mainly entertaining their foreign friends. The ambience of the restaurant is great with few dining halls each located in separate corners of the colonial building, remains from the French ruling era.

Warm reception.
Nice Little Nook
Cool Place to be in!

Furnished with Vietnamese  wares, tables and chairs the restaurant really gives one a warm reception, not to mention also their very friendly waiter and waitresses.

I think I will call them consultants as we order right from their recommendations. And we were not wrong listening to them. Here are those we had ordered.

Nha Hang Ngon
Rice Mince Pork (Nem Nuong Bar Trang)

Shrimp Salad (Goi Nba Sen Tim Thit)

Steam Shrimps on Coconut (Tom Hup Dua)

Beef (Bo Xien Nuong)

Learning how to roll our Spring Roll, with a friendly help.

And of course everyone had a good meal and good time as well. Kudos to the consultants!

Satisfied Customers.

Well Fed.

And finally, at the back of the stage, their kitchen. Well kept and clean. Will recommend without hesitation! For the next food adventure, stay tuned or better…stay subscribed!

*** This meal cost us 1.2 million VND!
